Okay, so there's nothing really nautical about my outfit. Stripes just make me think of sailors and boats. And on another note, we went to De Boerderij tonight. It was delish.

Rain, Rain Go Away
It's been raining. A lot. And because of said rain, I haven't snapped any cheery photos. But never fear! I have a solution to those daily blues because I for one love rainy days. And if you're more of a sun worshiper then these little tidbits should brighten you up. (See what I did there? I'm funny.)
- Tidbit 1: Hot Chocolate. Rainy days are often cold, so wrap yourself in your favorite blanket (because I can't be the only one with a preferred blanket) and sip your cocoa 'til the blues are gone!
- Tidbit 2: Movies! Movies! Because an excuse for a movie night is a good excuse.
- Tidbit 3: That Book You Were Supposed To Finish. You know the one I'm talking about. Read it!
- Tidbit 4: Drizzly Desserts. Last but mostly definitely not the least, (it might be my favorite of the bunch!) gooey, moist, fudgy dessert! Nothing cheers me up better than brownies especially big, thick ones. Brownies that are so messy and fudgy but with that crunch of walnuts, mmm my favorite.

The Bothersome Rainwater Trickling From My Ceiling
I really must get my ceiling fixed.
'trickle, trickle, trickle.'
It's ever so bothersome.
I wonder who's winning the battle in the sky.
'trickle,trickle,trickle.'
Seems like rain has the upper hand.
It's quieting down now.
'trickle,trickle,trickle.'
But there's still that persistent trickle.
Won't you leave me, trickle?
'trickle,trickle,trickle.'
I suppose that's a no.
Oh trickle.
'trickle,trickle,trickle.'

Cheesing My Grilled Toast
I woke up this morning with all intentions of making some french toast with a glass of chocolate milk because well, it's all I've been talking about with a friend of mine. But as fate would have it, I did not. Instead I was asked by my studious big sister (and who am I to say no to that just-woken up face?) to make some grilled cheese, since she of course is concerned about her unhealthy diet. French toast? Unhealthy? Psh. I believe not.
So I made toast. Slathered with butter. With a heavy sprinkling of cheese. Grilled in more butter. Who says I can't make a healthy dish unhealthy? Since it was my first ever time to actually make grilled cheese, I was a tad nervous as to how it tasted. But how can anything with that much butter taste bad?
So I served it. And boy was that sandwich good. Sadly, I have no pictures because the camera has traipsed off on another business trip but instead, if you absolutely love anything grilled cheese related I suggest this blog, Grilled Cheese Social. Never was a blog created that showed more love for the various grilled cheese sandwiches in the world than this one. I found it just yesterday. Who knew I'd be making grilled cheese the next day? Clever, clever Man Upstairs.

DIY Floral Headband
I've recently come to own a pack of deep purple cloth flowers and have been deciding just how to use them. And what better way to keep summer alive than with a floral headband? I'm not talking about the regular ol' headband that girls use to push their bangs back, I'm talking about the head "band", the one that wraps around your head. Or I guess you could call it a head wreath. Or a halo. Or whatever you'd like as long as it's head-related really.
You'll Need: Scissors, Ribbon, Cloth Flowers
Step 1: Cut just enough ribbon to wrap around your head. Separate your flowers. (or if you like them in a bunch, keep it!) I'm not much of a white flower with beads type of person, so I like to remove the itty bitty add-ons.
Step 2: Once everything is prepared, take the wire back of your flowers and intertwine them. It doesn't matter if it looks messy, because no one can see it!
See? No mess in front!
Step 3: Tie a ribbon end to each wire end. Ta-dah! Simple as that. No glue, no mess.

Tea Of The Day: Iced Teh Tarik
It's been awhile since I've posted a Tea Of The Day and I have a reason! I do, I do! Of course it's not the best excuse, but as ashamed as I am to say it I must. I haven't been drinking tea. Well alright that was a lie, I have been drinking tea, I just haven't been drinking new tea. Recently I've bought so much tea that I have packs and packs of tea in the cabinet that haven't even been opened yet. So instead of going back to the tea aisle and spending more, I've decided to finish the tea I already have. That doesn't mean I can't enjoy a cup of Malay tea though.
If you've seen Tasting Malaysia then you know just what I'm talking about. Teh Tarik! Served hot or cold, Teh Tarik literally means "pulled tea" because of the interesting way it's made. It's poured from two containers from a great height back and forth until the condensed milk and black tea are thoroughly mixed together. It's sweet with a subtle undertone of rich tea and is wonderful iced on a hot Sunday afternoon. Happy Tea Time!
